Join DC for Democracy Wednesday night at Ben’s Chili Bowl for the April MeetUp. We’ve got a great agenda and we want you there:

Change the Course: Out of Iraq

April 5's MeetUp will focus on "Change the Course" and how you can get involved in this historic undertaking.

DC for Democracy has been working hard to persuade Members of the House of Representatives to sign the Discharge Petition for H Res 543, which would bring HJR 55 to the floor for 17 hours of full and open debate.

30 of our sister DFA groups have been invited to join us, and MD, PA, CA, NY, CT, NJ, MO, MN, MI, and IL have gotten on board so far. Since March's MeetUp, 12 new Reps have signed the Discharge Petition, and 3 more are scheduled to sign on the morning of the April 5 MeetUp, for a total of 80.

We still have a long way to reach the 218 signatures necessary. With your help, we can reach this goal! Please come to this Wednesday's MeetUp to take part in the discussion and find out how you can contribute to the campaign.
